World Vision Youth Conference – Wellington, NZ

World Vision Youth Conference (WVYC) is an international leadership event for secondary school leaders (years 11-13), run by World Vision. The day is designed to ignite a passion for justice and equality in young New Zealander’s, and equip them with the leadership tools they need to go out and create change both locally and globally. This conference will empower and mobilise young leaders across our nation to create tangible impact with their lives.

Through rich video content, strong keynote speakers and interactive sessions, students will be able to define and shape their own worldview. The day is broken into three sections:

  • Global education
  • Leadership development
  • Social action

The social action component is tied with the 40 Hour Famine which includes skills that can be transferred across any social activity your school currently participates in. This event will empower all students, whether or not they are 40 Hour Famine participants. In 2017 we will be taking a close look at injustice broadly, with a specific focus on the refugee crisis.
