What is Thrift Shop Gift Shop all about?

We take the difficulty out of gifting!

Whether it’s a Kris Kringle, you’re looking for that perfect recycled gift for less, or if you’re not sure what to get someone for a present, we’ve got all bases covered!
Our experienced Thrift Shoppers do all the hard work for you, they’re in and out of Thrift Shops, Garage Sales and hunting for those perfect once loved bargain items that are going for a steal.

Take a look around our site (currently under construction) and see what we’ve got on offer, from a Mystery Thrift Gift from our online store, to an online shop and our Thrift Gift Club (to become Australia’s largest mystery Kris Kringle), we’ve got plenty of pre-loved goods at less than retail prices to help you get gifting for less.
Because our shoppers online buy top quality items for bargain prices, we pass on the deals to you.

All our in store items include DELIVERY + GIFT WRAPPING + CARD for the special occasion, so, join us as we take the pressure of gifting off your shoulders.

How long have you been operating?

The website is still under construction, but we’re almost there! Hoping to open in May 2018!

Where did the idea start?

Last year I decided I wanted to re-enter the social enterprise space and I wanted to not only support the community but continue to do things that I love (I love thrift shopping!) I came up with op shop, gift shop… But after a few beers I realised, Thrift Shop Gift Shop, was a far better name.

How do TOWNHALL Citizens or visitors get involved? Are you open to collaboration – if so, what kind?

I’m still in the process of building up the website, but I’d very much appreciate any love on the Facebook page in the meantime.

Answering questions, or even just giving us a like or a review on the page would go a long way to getting the word out!

Find our Facebook page here:

Do you have any success stories?

Not yet, but I’d love to make some with you all!

Do you have a project on TOWNHALL or an important event or mission coming up?

As soon as the site’s up and running, I will definitely be throwing a launch party, to which you’ll all be invited 🙂

Are you raising funds for anything specific?

Not at this point, but I am looking for people to contribute time to the cause and products to the store!

Any interesting fact you can share?

Did you know not one of the Australian thrift stores sell online? Here’s where we can help!

What’s the overall vision for Thrift Shop Gift Shop?

I’d love to see TSGS running self sufficiently and connect with many of the thrift stores to help both promote the work they do and provide a new way of gifting for the time poor and for when you just don’t know what to get someone, but you want to be sustainable and support the community by donating to the local Thrift Shop 🙂

What’s your ‘why’?

I’d love to hear your feedback, so be sure to swing by the facebook page and leave a like/comment/share, it’d be much appreciated!

Anything else you’d like to add or that you think we should know?

We are a fairly new organisation with a lot to learn and improve, with big visions and goals for the future. We are always looking for new people who believe what we are fighting for is worth it and would like to add bright ideas and drive to the organisation.
