Founder

A bit about yourself:

Originally from New Zealand, I have spent the last three years both living and working overseas on numerous international projects and events in both the public and private sectors. I have a degree in Management and Psychology, a background in International Development and am focused on and passionate about creating a positive impact and driving social change. I am also the founder/creator of ‘Keeping it real,’ a platform providing honest content that aims to drive positive change and help improve the visibility of social innovation projects worldwide. Currently I’m in South-East Asia where I’m both exploring the region and its issues, as well as the incredible work happening in the social innovation space.

Work/Volunteer Experience?

I’m a Content Contributor for Child & Youth Finance International’s Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative (an NGO working to provide children and youth around the world with access to financial services, to enhance their awareness of economic rights, and to empower them to break the cycle of poverty.) Further to this I have also worked for the GSMA’s Mobile Money Programme where I worked globally with mobile operators and industry stakeholders to increase the utility and sustainability of mobile money services worldwide, boosting financial inclusion for the under-served.

What’s your ‘why’?

I am passionate about social innovation, creating a positive social impact and driving change. I strongly believe that with passion and purpose we can change the world.

What skills do you have?

Content creation editing and design, advocacy communication, stakeholder management/engagement, knowledge management, research and analysis, event management, system and process innovation, digital marketing including social media management, product development, marketing and communications strategy, international development strategy and expertise.

We live in a country, where clean drinking water literally falls from the sky, and it’s up to us, those who have access to clean drinking water change the game for those who don’t. Our vision is to continue building this platform, in a manner where it is easy to fund and distribute water filters to communities which need them most. We use Sawyer Filters, a quick, easy, simple yet effective filtration system which can provide water for families without access.
