The Kokoda Challenge is commonly referred to as the toughest team endurance event in Australia: 96km of winding tracks through the Gold Coast hinterland, 5,000m of vertical elevation to climb (and descend!) and 13 checkpoints to get through.
This year Opportunities for Life have created a team to conquer it:
Micheal Ross | Danielle Sturton | Byron McGilvray | Scott Wilkinson.
The Kokoda Challenge commences 15th June @ 7am. After non-stop walking- We aim to cross the finish line in 30 hours.
Opportunities for Life is a small Aussie charity with a passion for providing life’s most basic necessity: clean water.
Danielle & Micheal founded OFL 3 years ago, and 3 trips to Africa later- OFL have provided clean drinking water to over 10,000 people through 15 different water projects.
100% of money donated goes directly towards life-changing clean water projects.
663 Million people lack access to clean water- that’s 1 in 10 people on our planet. When you support Opportunities for Life not only are you supporting clean water projects- you are improving health, sanitation, education & opportunities for communities to flourish.
With a focus on rural schools, orphanages, disability & community groups Opportunities for Life carefully hand pick each project. Danielle & Micheal cover their own expenses, and travel to each location to oversee the entire process from start to finish to ensure the money goes to where it is needed & each project is finished with sustainable results.
Opportunities for Life plan on traveling to India late 2017/2018 to complete a variety of clean water projects in rural & poverty affected areas.
Every donation over $2 is tax deductible!
We may only be a small charity- but our passion & determination to make a difference is huge.
