Project Name: Keeping it real
Location: New Zealand
Associated Citizens featured on TOWNHALL: Louise Matich, Founder
What is ‘Keeping it real’ all about?
‘Keeping it real’ is my own personal project where I aim to share content that both inspires and sheds light on various social constructs, issues and/or social innovations. My aim is to create honest content that is relatable, and that prompts discussion and thought.
How long have you been operating?
Where did the idea start?
Having lived in London for two years, after returning to New Zealand I was missing being so heavily involved in the social innovation / international development space. Being passionate about creating a positive impact and driving social change, this was one of my (many) ideas that I had to become more involved and help to create a lasting impact.
How do TOWNHALL Citizens or visitors get involved? Are you open to collaboration – if so, what kind?
If you or anyone you know is involved with an organisation or social enterprise doing great things, I want to know about it – please do reach out. Let’s change the world.
Do you have a project on TOWNHALL or an important event or mission coming up?
I am currently in South-East Asia where I am both exploring the region and its issues, as well as the incredible work happening in the social innovation space, sharing my thoughts and insights as I travel.
What’s the overall vision for ‘Keeping it real’?
There are so many incredible people already doing amazing things in the world, and so many more opportunities for future innovation. Not nearly as much attention is being paid to it all as it deserves. I hope that this project helps.
What’s your ‘why’?
I am passionate about social innovation, creating a positive social impact and driving change. I strongly believe that with passion and purpose we can change the world.
