Social Enterprise: Goodie

Location: Australia

Contact: Will Zhong

What is Goodie all about?

Goodie is an online platform that connects volunteers with nonprofit organisations and rewards volunteers with certified badges and discounts.

How long have you been operating?

Three months

Where did the idea start?

Dromana Beach, Victoria, Australia

How do TOWNHALL Citizens or visitors get involved? Are you open to collaboration – if so, what kind?

We’d LOVE for anyone – really, we mean ANYONE – interested in our mission or volunteering to get in touch 🙂

Do you have any success stories?

Goodie has been selected to participate in YGAP’s 2018 First Gens Accelerator!

Do you have a project on TOWNHALL or an important event or mission coming up?

Not yet!

Are you raising funds for anything specific?

Whilst we welcome social investors to fund growth, Goodie is not structured to be driven by equity financing, thus will only work for those truly ‘social’ investors. That said, our arms are always wide open for those wishing to support our cause in any shape or form!

Any interesting fact you can share?

We exist for nonprofits and volunteers!

What’s the overall vision for Goodie?

To make volunteering easier, more efficient and, in turn, more effective.

What’s your ‘why’?

Goodie is still in the ideas stage, so we welcome any feedback, suggestions or ideas that may help us along the way!

Anything else you’d like to add or that you think we should know?

We are a fairly new organisation with a lot to learn and improve, with big visions and goals for the future. We are always looking for new people who believe what we are fighting for is worth it and would like to add bright ideas and drive to the organisation.
