I’m a serial entrepreneur. I’ve started three businesses in the last 5 years, with most notable being UPmovement. I live for Social Entrepreneurship, and love that I get to bring purpose and fulfilment to my life and others every single day! I graduated with a Masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2017, and have vowed to help the amputee crisis in the developing and war-torn world.
I’m a 23 year old marketing graduate from Auckland, New Zealand.
Misfit has been a project that has evolved from my humble beginnings of brewing some questionable homebrew while at University. Graduating in late 2015, I developed the company in the first half of 2016, before getting a corporate job at New Zealand’s largest brewery. 18 months later, I decided to leave this job, jumping into Misfit Brewing Co. full time, working to release our first range of beers in late 2018.
I founded Food For Change in 2016 and currently sit on the board as well as playing an active role in the roll out of our programs around Australia. Besides the work i do for Food for Change, my days are filled with looking after my son, hiking, cooking and trying to squeeze in as many adventures as possible!
Originally from New Zealand, I have spent the last three years both living and working overseas on numerous international projects and events in both the public and private sectors. I have a degree in Management and Psychology, a background in International Development and am focused on and passionate about creating a positive impact and driving social change.
I’m currently studying a double degree of Business (Finance) and Industrial Design @ Monash University. Besides from studying (and Charity Tap), I’m the National Marketing Lead for UNIHACK Australia and an entrepreneurship ambassador at Monash University’s startup initiative, The Generator. My passion lies within using my design and business expertise to create positive social impact, whether it’s through developing meaningful products or making services more accessible to those who need it.
I am a passionate, vibrant and energetic soul that has spent the last 2-3 years travelling on and off around the world. I have covered a lot of ground (over 30 countries) and experienced a variety of cultures. I am a keen learner and love to help out wherever I can. I am a strong believer in communication and the community that we create as individuals and have a lot of dreams for myself and where the planet is heading.
I’m a 17 year-old designer, problem solver and community builder. I’ve got a tendency to be extremely optimistic about people and the world we live in. I truly believe that everyone has value to add in this world, but the systems of education currently in place don’t help us realise that potential. There are so many issues out there to be solved, and so many people with great ideas who want to make a difference but are not empowered to act on them. I think that if we were able to help young people around the world reach their potential, we’d have generations growing up who interact mostly through kindness, empathy and compassion, while being empowered with the skills to make the world a better place. The thought of such a world is what drives me.
